Best Way to Drink Water for Maximum Benefits

Do you know the best way to drink water?

As we are all aware of the health and beauty benefits of drinking water, and we’ve been told from time to time to drink 2 litres of plain water a day.

But not many people actually know the best way to drink water to maximise its benefits!

My Own Formula

Here is my tried and tested formula to drink water to get the maximum benefit out of it:

The best way is to sip the water throughout the day.

This way of drinking water, your system will be able to absorb it better.

Think about a plant pot, if you water the dried up soil, the water will drain out of the pot straight away without nourishing the plant.

  1. This information is truly eye opening! I never knew that drinking water had a correct method, other than gulping it all down whenever you feel like it. I will apply tgis tip from now on to my life of drinking water. Thank you so much.

  2. What great advice! I will try to follow these tips. Biggest problem for me is remembering to take a water bottle with me!

    • Dear Yvette, I think we all struggle at some point in life about keeping healthy as it’s very easy to slip off the wagon and carry on doing the easy thing. I always keep a number of water bottles in places where I spend most of my time. So I have no excuses to NOT to drink water. Hope this helps. Kind Regards

  3. Hi There. Yes, I was told many years ago not too drink too quickly or too much at one time as our liver is unable to do its job of filtering the liquids properly. Very good advice to dring smaller quantities more often. many thanks.

  4. Great, I am on the right track to drinking water to get the best benefits. Unless I am working out where I tend to ‘chug’ water to get it into my body quickly.

I also heard that in the summertime if you drink lukewarm water it is better for hydration than cold water. I guess it takes longer and more calories for your body to digest the colder water.

    • Hi Kahlua,

Yes you are right, sipping away the water is the best way to get maximum benefits and drinking the lukewarm water is even better for your health. Best of luck to your good health.

  5. First time discovering this website and absolutely love all the content of it, especially this post. I am a fitness coach so have an interest in the healthy aspects of life. This post has been very beneficial to me. I drink a lot of water on a daily basis but drink a lot in one go. Never occurred to me to simply sip it at intervals. I can see the benefit straightaway especially understanding the plant pot theory.

Keep up the good work guys ??

  7. An experienced natural health practitioner in my home town once told us the human body cannot properly absorb more than 1/4 cup of water at a time and suggested that as the best portion to drink throughout the day. Does this sound right to you?
