My Own Formula

If you have a lot going on in your life and managing your chores is something that makes you anxious then here is the simple, but tried and tested idea:

  • Write down all the jobs you have to do in the day on a piece of paper.
  • Then next to each job write down roughly how long it will take you to complete the job and be realistic about it
  • Also don’t cram things in unnecessarily as this will make you even more on the edge!
  • Just prioritise the tasks based on the time you have in the day and leave the rest for the next day and so on.

Hope this helps you the way it has been helping me. Since I’ve been following these steps it has made a massive difference to my life, and now I have more time to do things I couldn’t fit in my daily routine.

    Oh, man, this is something I will definitely try!
    I’ve lately found myself in this hole of overwhelm. Not fun to say the least. Essentially I have to do so incredibly much and finish so many various tasks that I just end up getting an overload. And, ultimately, I self-sabotage by doing nothing. Because it’s just too overwhelming.
    I hope this will help to change that!

  6. That’s a good formula. I use a DayTimer, which is nice because it also has the hours of the day. I’d be lost without a list. I like your idea of calculating the time a job will take. Makes sense. I could also use other articles about how to organize. I feel that my home would be much less chaotic if I could learn some organizational tips. If you put up an article on this subject, please let me know.
