Self Motivation is the Key

A key part to achieving anything in life is building a self-motivation AND the only thing, which contributes to achieving your goals is the self motivation.

Self motivation is the first stepping stone to achieving any goal in life. In order to build the self motivation, we first need to consider how big and significant our goal is.

The goal has to be big and powerful enough to create self-assurance and self-confidence to go after it and smash every bit of the success out of it!

If you have a clear vision about where you are heading. The process itself will motivate you to stay consistent and fulfill your desired vision.

Once you have established that the goal is clear and achievable. It is important to be aware of any set backs you may encounter through the process.

Therefore, being resilient, believing in yourself and in your qualities and positive self talking often to yourself that;

“This one hurdle is not going to stop me from achieving my goals and dreams.”

Remember to make it fun and interesting as this will help you keep going.

Remember the smaller the steps the more likely they are achievable, rather than bombarding yourself with a massive chunk of work and get bog down with it.

5. What is the time limit of achieving it?

When planning for the process, it may be useful to use tools like urgent/important matrix to help you plan even further by prioritising your tasks.

  1. I really love this article. It should be pinned on the wall of every office to keep motivation optimal. Very helpful information to building the foundational structure for any endeavor.

    • You are absolutely right there Dan. Motivation is the staring point to achieving anything. If you are not self motivated, everything will look like a big job. That’s why it’s important to find your passion and then never work for a job, work for your passion!

      All the best

  2. I always struggle with the self motivation and I can see how this is going to help me. I am very grateful to know this. Thank you

  3. I need the self motivation every time I am starting a new project. I always write down my goals and steps of how to get there. your posts has added fuel to the fire. Thank you

  4. Self motivation is the only way to overcome procrastination. I find that writing my goals down and seeing them every morning next to where my car keys are kept, helps to motivate me as well.

    • You are spot on there Eric, Writing it down and keeping it visual is a reminder to yourself that you are accountable to what you have put down on paper. Keep up what’s working for you and keep sharing your valuable tips.

  5. I find the best way to motivate myself to get things done is to make a schedule of how long I will spend on each task. Set a timer, if you are not done, reschedule task. The timer makes me more focused on the task at hand.
Your steps would be very important to add to my list of things to look at when making my schedule of task.
If you are not self motivated, you will never get any thing done in life. No body is going to stand behind you and push you along for your whole life.

    • Dear John, Reading your comment has motivated me! Thank you. Yes its important to recognise your goals and work on them. Your goal has to be good enough to press your self motivation buttons and setting deadlines are important. Otherwise you will never get there.

  6. Great post, I’m all about being productive and reaching goals in life and your post has many good points. You have put the steps in a good order. And this makes me think, how specific I have been with my goals. Probably not specific enough, because I don’t always reach my goals, unfortunately. Also, the importance and my own commitment is playing a big part when succeeding och failing to reach a goal. Thank you for sharing.

    • Hi Johnny,
There is a saying that the clearer your gaol and the planning is the better chances there are in achieving it. I definitely recommend this method I mentioned here. Good luck. Kind Regards
