  1. Thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial, Habib! I have never utilized the merge center feature before, but you do an excellent job of breaking the process down, step by step. I’m a visual learner and find it much easier to learn techniques when I see them done in front of me. You explain things very well (very clear and concise), and I know that many people will appreciate your efforts. God bless you!

  3. Hi there,

What a great function, I use it all the time, but it’s good to see the shortcuts and benefits to using it. One thing I’ve wondered is if there’s a way to separate them, e.g. sometimes I need to merge cells but not centre them. Is this possible?

    Keep up the good work.

    Reply
    • Yes it is possible Sharon – you select the cells you want to merge and then click on the drop down arrow of the merge & center button and simply select the option – merge cells across. This will solve your question. Hope you find this useful and helpful. Take care

  8. Thank you for explaining the functions very clearly. Many tutorials and training just browse through functions like these taking the basic knowledge for granted. But you explain even the small steps clearly.
    Keep up the great work.

    • Explaining any skill to gain knowledge is to always focus on the basics to build the foundation – when one understands the skill, like in this tutorial Merge & Center in Excel, then one can very easily carry out that skill. I always tell my students to focus on understanding the skill first.

Thank you for the kind words. Keep coming on my site as many more tutorials will be uploaded like this one. Take care
