Habib Ali – ICT Tutor

Very good presentation, the topics were explained clearly and you cited examples. Very useful tutorial especially to those who are not very familiar with EXCEL.

Thank you Kevin for your feedback, much appreciated 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

I really appreciate these tutorials. I’ve always struggled with understanding excel and never even knew there was a difference between a workbook and worksheet! Thank you!

Thank you Aminah. It is vital to understand the difference between a workbook and worksheet, otherwise you will always struggle. I’m glad we’ve sorted this out now. Please start from lesson 1 to make the most of my sequential lessons. Take care

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Hi Habib ,Excel is very neglected in the whole office and yet it is very important and useful .Thank you for explaining so well the difference between workbook and worksheet .

You are right it is neglected, but the main reason is because people don’t understand it. This is why I have created these lessons and have broken down the technical terms, so even the laymen can understand and be able to use excel to an advanced level. Take care

Habib (ICT Tutor)

I am learning so much about Excel simply by reading your articles and watching your videos, I never knew there was a difference between a workbook and a worksheet in Excel before reading your article.

You are a great teacher

Jeff

Thank you Jeff – and don’t worry a lot of people don’t even know these 2 words exist in excel, yet they’ve been using excel for years. It is understanding the terminology that makes you a confident user of excel. Knowing how is good, but understanding how is even better 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Great presentation. I learnt the difference between a workbook and worksheet in Excel so easily by watching your tutorial. Ty

I’m happy to help Ekufaa 🙂 The difference between a workbook and worksheet is minor but if you misunderstand then you can struggle with excel quite a bit. Take care

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Thank you for that excellent tutorial. I have been using excel for years, but never knew the details of worksheet and workbook. I will come back to your site!

Thank you Donat – it was my pleasure showing you, what a workbook and worksheet is in excel. Take care

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Great video! For any level. It is easy to understand!

Thank you for the breakdown!

Brendaliz

You’re welcome Brendaliz – that is my aim to break down the technical jargon so people can actually understand these amazing programs like excel 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Another great tutorial! Thank you. I love using worksheets to keep things organized. I appreciate how clear and easy-to-follow your videos are. Great job!

Thank you Carla – worksheets are great and you can have as many as you want 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Hi Habib,

Simple and straight to the point. The question never occured to me even though I use Excel pretty often. Great to be learning something new.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers.

SAM

Thank you Sam. Many aspects, oneself will not think about, especially if you are self taught. Here I have created a series of lessons to be completed in a sequence to learn excel thoroughly and in order. Please start from lesson 1 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Great tutorial. Like the previous videos, this video is also well explained and it is obvious that you know what you are talking about. Everyone can learn from your videos.

Thank you Brian for the lovely compliment. I am a qualified ICT tutor, so yes I know my stuff 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Hi Habib,

What a wonderful tutorial concerning excel workbook and worksheet. I also found your tutorial very useful and I’m sure other excel users will too.

Really, it will be very beneficial for computer learners and users and they can learn so many things from your website and lessons to enhance their knowledge and also it can be utilized in their official work very easily.

I expect to see more of your tutorials in the future.

Good luck

Thank you Jeebey. Yes it is very beneficial as excel is an office skill. After Word, excel is the 2nd most popular software in an office environment. I will be doing many more lessons in the future. Please start your learning from lesson 1 though 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Great information – you’re a lifesaver! THANK YOU!

You’re welcome Courtney 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Hi

Thanks for this. You are right. Understanding the distinction between worksheets and workbooks is important. I assume it is easier to cross-reference cells between worksheets in the same workbook than it is to cross-reference to cells in a sheet in a different workbook. If the second workbook cannot be found, or the file has been moved or deleted this must cause a problem. All important issues.

Thanks

Andy

Yes Andy it is so much easier for the links within the same workbook. Linking different workbooks are great and work superbly, but you have to make sure they are stored and managed correctly. I will be doing tutorials on linking worksheets and workbooks soon 🙂

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Great article with useful information. While I do not use Excel myself, I do know someone who does and I will share your website with her.

Thanks.

You should train yourself up too John, you don’t know when you will need the excel skills. But by all means help the person out and pass my website and YouTube channel to them. Here is the direct link to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBfGJLMmTIA3ESh9DFYWLIg

Habib (ICT Tutor)

That’s quite an impressive coverage of excel. I had no idea what workbooks were. And I’m so glad its a video because reading such technical stuff would be tricky. I will definitely check out your other lessons. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, videos are so much easier to watch and follow, that’s why I decided to do these video lessons. I have many video tutorial lessons and I recommend you start from lesson 1.

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Thanks for sharing this helpful info! I’ve learned alot!

Happy to help Alyse, and nice to hear you have learnt a lot, such as the difference between a workbook and worksheet. Take care

Habib (ICT Tutor)

Thank you so much for your tutorials, they are great!

I have learnt so much in such a small amount of time. Your explanations and demonstrations are awesome, very easy to follow, and you speak in a language I can understand and follow, not using technical terms like I’ve come across from other videos on YouTube.

Zulekha

You are very welcome Zukekha – happy to help.

I am aware of other youtubers using too much technical terms, and it is not great for ones understanding. I understand and realise this, as I am an ICT tutor by profession. Wish you all the best, and carry on coming to our channel and learning many more new skills. Take care

Habib (ICT Tutor)

This was very clearly explained. I find the usage of a workbook very practical and easy. I use them as organizers, to keep track of items, products, ideas, or anything I can use for my work or projects.

Yes Christine, you can use each worksheet for one item or topic within the workbook – just like a simple diary or planner. Thanks
